How accurate are the trip recommendations?
Our AI draws from extensive data about campgrounds, road conditions, and RV-friendly stops across North America. However, we always recommend verifying campground availability and road conditions before you travel, as real-world conditions can change. Think of our itineraries as a really smart starting point.
What types of RVs does RVmapper support?
We support all RV types: Class A, Class B, and Class C motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, and more. When you enter your RV details (class, length, slide-outs), our AI factors in campsite size requirements, height clearances, and turning radius to ensure every recommendation works for your specific rig.
How does the AI know which campgrounds to recommend?
Our AI considers multiple factors: your travel style (budget to luxury), driving distance limits, campground ratings, amenities, price range, location relative to your route, and your selected interests. Budget travelers might get BLM land and state parks; luxury travelers get 5-star resorts with full hookups. Learn more on our How It Works page.
Can I modify the itinerary after it's generated?
Absolutely! You can remove any stop you don't like and choose to either speed up the trip, find a replacement nearby, or simply skip it. You can also use our Refine feature to make broader changes like 'add more scenic routes' or 'include wineries near Napa.'
What does the Pro plan include?
Pro removes all ads, gives you unlimited runs per day, unlimited saved trips, and uses our premium AI model for smarter, more detailed recommendations. Pro is available at $2.99/month or $29.99/year (that's about the cost of one night of camping).
Can I save and share my trips?
Yes! Create a free account to save trips to your profile. You can also share trips via a unique link — check out our Explore page to see trips shared by the community. Pro users get unlimited saves, while free users can save 1 trip.
Does RVmapper work for trips outside the US?
Currently, RVmapper is optimized for trips within the United States and Canada. We're working on expanding to other regions. The AI can generate itineraries for other countries, but campground data may be less comprehensive.
How long does it take to generate a trip?
Most trips are generated in 15–30 seconds, depending on the distance and number of waypoints. Pro users typically see faster generation times due to priority processing.
Is my personal data safe?
Yes. We use Supabase for secure data storage with industry-standard encryption. Payments are processed through Stripe — we never store your credit card information. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What if I find an error in a recommendation?
We appreciate feedback! If you spot an inaccuracy — a closed campground, wrong pricing, or an RV-incompatible stop — please let us know through our Contact page or submit it on our Feature Request board. Your reports help us improve recommendations for everyone.
Do I need an account to use RVmapper?
No! You can plan trips without creating an account. However, an account lets you save trips, track your usage, and access your trip history. Account creation is free and takes about 10 seconds with Google sign-in.
